Christmas spice and potpourri are the first aromatics out of the glass, but as it sits a little longer, those notes become more integrated with cherry and vanilla oak with a hint of fresh tobacco. The wine isn’t sipped so much as it gushes in and fills the mouth, coating it in soft oak and grape with enough tannin to carry through to the finish, where a touch of oak extends the length. The Malbec then almost rebounds to the front of the mouth, leaving a velvety texture on the lips that leaves you wanting more. Would pair well with braised duck legs or herb stuffed roast chicken.
