Lavish plum, blackberries, and mulberries precede this complex bouquet with undertones of lavender, anise, and touches of white pepper. Elegant refined tannins balance this wine with toffee and vanilla. A silky finish is completed with fine polished tannins.
This wine begins with pure concentrated characteristics of plums, blackberries, rhubarb, earth, leather, cedar, and molasses. Dense fully ripe tannins grip your palate with this wines juicy mouthfeel and long lingering finish. This is a dense full-bodied true to varietal style gem.
When 1 will not do... Our first multi-year blend of Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is an example of declassified estate fruit blended from three vintages into a brilliant expressive and engaging wine. The strength and power of the 2017 vintage combined with elegant aromatic 2016 wine creates a wonderful drinkable, approachable and affable nonvintage Cabernet Sauvignon, especially when a small bit of the 2018 fresh lively fruity wine is added.
This 100% Cabernet Franc is a sophisticated pleasant full-bodied Bordeaux red. Commonly used in Bordeaux as a blending varietal, Cabernet Franc offers pleasant aromas of sage, leather, and tobacco with a full mouthfeel and lingering silky tannins. Ideally paired with red meats such as venison or ribeye.
2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon & 2012 V Cuvee (54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot)
An encore to the previous vintage; this vibrant wine exudes characters of black cherry, ripe black plums and dark fruits harmonized by cedar, toffee and rich vanilla. Elegant fine tannins are framed by a velvety texture and silky smooth finish.
Bramble and lavender leap out of the glass, with just enough hint of saddle leather to make one think of a relaxing ride through the California desert. The mid-palate is supple but with enough structure to stand, and the tannin is holding well, with a pull that invites one to drink more.
Nose of lavender and Sicilian cherry, with a soft hint of cedar and leather. Tannins are still fresh and grab at the front of the mouth, slowly relaxing through the mid palate and leading to a cherry and plum finish. Still big and tight, this wine can be laid down for a few more years, and will be excellent when the front tannin softens a bit more. Highly recommended to pair with food now, and should complement a dinner of Osso Buco or lasagna al forno nicely.
Our Double Gold Cabernet Sauvignon offers complex characters of raspberry, cranberry, blackberry and red currents with undertones of tobacco and minerals. Notes of toasted marshmallow, cedar and vanilla dance on your tongue. Beautiful refined tannins are underscored with an elegant structure and long distinguished finish.
Our estate Cabernet Sauvignon expresses aromas of bing cherry, tobacco and leather. The berries in 2015 were very small and flavorful, making the Cabernet Sauvignon intense and with ripe fruit on the palette. Flavors of dark cherry and currant linger with silky tannin and mocha on the finish. Estate grown our flagship wine has been historically awarded numerous times. Climate, soil, thoughtful farming, and winemaking produce a Cabernet Sauvignon that is a standout to its competitors.
