Crystal clear nights are shattered by streaks of brilliance above a midnight picnic for two
The Pacific Ocean, located 28.5 miles due west of the winery, has a blustery effect on all the grapes grown at Vincent, and the Los Olivos District in general. While day time temperatures during harvest can easily reach 95+ degrees, the thermometer drops 40-50 degrees every night. This drop causes the vines to stop producing sugar, resulting in a leaner, less tannic wine than other wine regions and is more similar to the climate seen in Bordeaux, France.
